Their mission is to provide guide dogs and other mobility services that increase the independence and dignity of blind and partially-sighted people. We campaign for improved rehabilitation services and unhindered access for all blind and partially-sighted people.
Caring Matters Now
The Caring Matters Now support group is the only dedicated UK charity to provide information and support for those affected by Congenital Melanocytic Naevi (CMN). Congenital Melanocytic Naevi is a brown or black mole present at birth. CMN can be very large, covering up to 80% of the body, and very numerous – up to hundreds in one individual. People with large or multiple CMN have an increased risk of malignant melanoma (a type of cancer). At the moment, large or multiple CMN are largely untreatable. The Caring Matters Now support group has three main aims; 1) support those affected by CMN, 2) raise awareness about CMN, 3) raise funds for CMN research.
