COVID - Telephone contact - Due to the reduced access to practice sites telephone contacts have increased and we are experiencing periods of high volumes of calls. Staff are monitoring waiting times for calls throughout the day and reporting issues where there are excessive wait times and we continuing to work to reduce waiting where possible. Apologies if you have been affected by long waits and thank you for your patience.



There is a full appointment system with the following options available to you:

1. Appointments for long-term conditions can be booked up much further in advance
2. Same day appointments for conditions that can’t wait
3. Bookable telephone consultations

Please remember that one appointment is for one patient even if it is to discuss another patient.

Saturday opening

We are open on Saturdays from 8.30am – 12.30pm for routine doctor and nurse appointments. Every three Saturdays at Crown Medical Centre, and one in four at Farnsfield you can be seen at either of these locations.

Online Services

You can sign up to book appointments online. To register bring photo ID to the practice and sign up at reception.

Text Message Reminders

You may also find it helpful to register for our text messaging service. You will receive reminders for appointments the day before and we may also text you about other health related matters from time to time. Ask at reception or when on the phone to register or click here for a consent form

We have recently signed up for a new and improved text messaging service "MJOG" You will receive a text reminder 7 days prior to your appointment and also 24 hours before. The service also enables a patient to cancel their appointment via text message and patient feedback can be gathered up to 3 hours after their appointment by completing a questionnaire via text message.


Please let us know as soon as possible if you cannot attend an appointment in order for us to give the slot to someone else. You can call us to leave a message to cancel your appointment, or speak to a receptionist.

Operations Manager

We have an operations manager who continues to monitor the rotas and regular audits are completed to review the quantitiy of appointments and the way in which they are released. The operations manager communicates with the GPs to continously develop the appointment system.
